SA Menswear SS16: DETAILS

The second SA Menswear Week is nearly here so I thought I would share with you some important details!

Dates/Schedule

This season’s upcoming shows will be taking place from the 1st to the 4th of July and you can view the schedule below:

SAMW SCHEDULE

VENUE:

SAMW will be held at the Cape Town Stadium in one of the many studios available and fortunately, unlike last time, the studio will be air-conditioned making for a more comfortable and ‘chilled’ experience.

Designers to see:

I for one do not necessarily have any interest in all of the designers to be honest but there are a few younger designers that I desperately need to be present when they unveil their latest threads. This very small list of ‘must-see’ shows includes:

Lukhanyo Mdingi

OATH Studios by Rich Mnisi

Jenevieve Lyons

Merwe Mode

Tickets:

Tickets will be available online at http://www.webtickets.com in the next couple of days so keep checking as you don’t want to find that the only seats available are at the back. From my experience, tickets do not normally cost more than R250 but it is a very worthy cause!

I really hope that every one of you tries to attend at least one show. Any sort of Fashion Week is a good experience and if it isn’t for you then at least you know. I’ve been attending Fashion Weeks since Grade 10 and it is something that I wish all teenagers, who are  fashion conscious of course, would take time to go to.
